Vintage character: Classic, structured, long-lived

Fully mature and beautifully evolved, the 2001 shows brick-tinged garnet colour with complex aromas of dried cherry, fig, leather, tobacco, forest floor, and balsamic herbs. The palate is savoury and layered, offering sour cherry, dried cranberry, cedar, and earthy spice, supported by still-present but polished tannins. Acidity remains vibrant, carrying the wine through a long, elegant, truffle-tinged finish. A quintessential old-school Brunello at peak or just past peak maturity.
