Home Block is a stunning 1.5-acre plot surrounded by dry, scrubby sagebrush on the edge of Okanagan Lake. It was planted in 2013 exclusively to Dijon clone 115. With 30% whole bunch and ageing in a combination of large oak vats and new barriques, it lifts off with pure red berries and violet. Sage blossoms and baked earth flit in the background. A dense fruit core offers a mouthful of tangy dark cherries while nervy acidity keeps this lively. Seductive velvety tannins complete this well-knit, elegant package that speaks so eloquently of place.
