Schiava is a cool climate red grape found in the hills of Alto Adige in Northern Italy, as well as in Germany where it is known as Trollinger or Vernatsch.
This is 100% Schiava harvested by hand and kept in stainless steel for a short period before bottling. The wine is bursting with notes of wild strawberry, rose petals, cranberry and raspberry. Serve it with a slight chill to accentuate the freshness. This is a great alternative for lovers of Pinot Noir or Gamay looking to try something new!
