Poured as a deep ruby-red with violet glints, this Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from Cantina Tollo opens with aromas of morello cherry and ripe red berry fruit, accompanied by subtle touches of spice and violet flourish. On the palate it presents generous fruit, soft-yet-present tannins, and a good structural backbone that delivers a rounded, well-balanced finish — elegant, approachable and built for enjoyment now. With its vivid expression of the Abruzzo terroir (13% alc) it pairs superbly with savoury tomato-based pastas, grilled pork or medium-aged cheeses.
