Quinta do Crasto - Flor de Crasto
750 ml | Alcohol/Vol:
Quinta do Crasto, founded in 1615 on the right bank of the Douro River, is one of Portugal's most renowned estates. Flor de Crasto is the younger, more youthful sibling of Crasto's serious red portfolio — a blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional from 10 to 15-year-old vines grown on the Douro's schistous soils. Fresh and juicy, the wine captures the character of those schist soils, packed into a fine, taut structure with tight tannins, scrubby dark florals, dark tobacco, perfumed cassis, and cracked pepper, all lifted by bright acidity. Vibrant and easy-drinking, it's a fantastic value introduction to Douro red — perfect with grilled meats, lamb, or roasted vegetables.
