Louis Latour Fleurie
Fleurie is one of the ten Beaujolais crus, grown on pink granite slopes and long considered the most perfumed of the group. Louis Latour, the Béaune négociant house founded in 1797, bottles it in the classic style: whole-bunch Gamay, no heavy oak.
Bright ruby, with violets and red cherry over a light dusting of pepper. Silky rather than structured, with fine tannin and enough acidity to keep it lively. Serve it slightly cool. Good with charcuterie, roast chicken, or a cheese board.
