Journey's End Honey Bee Chenin Blanc Viognier

Grapes for this wine are grown and sourced from South Africa’s Breede River Valley, a region recognized for its ideal conditions for Chenin Blanc and Viognier. The vineyards are primarily located on the gently rolling valley floor alongside the river, where well-drained shale and sandstone soils contribute to balanced vine growth and concentrated fruit expression. All vines are trellised, and meticulous canopy management is practiced throughout the growing season to protect the fruit from intense summer heat.

The grapes were carefully hand-sorted and lightly pressed to preserve their vibrant primary aromatics. Fermentation took place over 10 days in stainless steel tanks, with the Chenin Blanc and Viognier vinified separately. After fermentation, the two components were blended and left on the lees for four months, adding texture and complexity before bottling.
