Hester Creek farms on the Golden Mile Bench just outside Oliver, and this is the estate’s mid-premium tier. Ripe plum and dark cherry with vanilla, cocoa and a brush of sagebrush and sweet spice; medium-bodied with soft tannins from six to eight months in a mix of French and American oak. Pour it with roast lamb, a homemade stew, or pizza and tomato-based pasta.
