Gagliardo builds this Barolo from eight parcels across five of the appellation's communes, each vinified separately and blended afterwards — the aim being a complete picture of Barolo rather than one village's accent. It is floral and approachable for the appellation, with strawberry, violet, lemon zest and spice, refreshing acidity and tannins that are velvety and precise. Give it a decant and serve with braised beef, mushroom risotto, or aged Piedmontese cheeses.
