One of southern Italy's benchmark whites, grown on volcanic hillside soils in the Irpinia hills east of Naples. Pale straw with green flecks, it opens with white peach, pear and orange blossom, backed by a signature note of toasted hazelnut. The palate is creamy and surprisingly structured for a white, with bright acidity and a saline, mineral finish. Serve it with seafood risotto, grilled fish and herbs, or fresh goat cheese.
