Fattoria Amo Ann Vernaccia Toscana IGT

A small-production Tuscan white from a family estate in the hills of San Gimignano, made from the area's historic Vernaccia grape. Part of the wine is fermented in stainless steel for freshness and part in large oak for texture, giving a delicate floral and orchard-fruit bouquet of green apple and pear with a rounder, fuller mid-palate. The soils here are laced with fossilised oyster shells, and the wine carries a distinctive saline snap on the finish. Vegan, unfiltered and made with native yeasts. Serve chilled with seafood, roast chicken, or pecorino and other sheep's-milk cheeses.
