EMIDIO PEPE MONTEPULCIANO D’ABRUZZO BRANELLA

EMIDIO PEPE is one of Abruzzo’s most important family estates, based in Torano Nuovo near the Adriatic and Gran Sasso mountains. Emidio Pepe began bottling under his own name in 1964 and became known for proving that Montepulciano and Trebbiano from Abruzzo could age beautifully. The family farms organically and biodynamically, works with traditional methods, and holds back a significant portion of production until it feels ready to release.
