Château Cavalier Marafiance Côtes de Provence Rosé

Château Cavalier sits in the foothills of the Massif des Maures near Vidauban, in the heart of inland Provence — an estate named for the stream that still runs through its vines and helps keep them irrigated. What began as a 50-hectare property has grown to 132 hectares under vine, farmed under Terra Vitis sustainable certification, with grapes still picked at night under a veil of mist to lock in freshness before fermentation. The house's top cuvée, Marafiance, is no small deal either: the 2024 vintage was named Best in Show at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards, scoring 97 points and standing as the only rosé among Decanter's Top 50 wines of the year, chosen from over 18,000 entries worldwide.

Marafiance is built from a classic Provençal blend led by Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle. In the glass it's a pale pink with raspberry and faint blue tints; the nose opens complex and intense, layering citrus and red fruit over floral and spiced undertones. The palate is elegant and precise, carrying red fruit and citrus through to floral, mineral notes and a long, tension-filled finish. Versatile enough for the whole table — grilled fish, charcuterie, salade niçoise, or simply on its own on a warm evening.
