Altesino is one of the historic estates of Montalcino — a pioneer that helped define modern Brunello. Since the 1970s, they have been producing wines of remarkable depth and character from 100% Sangiovese Grosso.

The 2020 Brunello opens with classic aromas of sour cherry, dried herbs, leather, and a touch of tobacco. The palate is medium-full bodied with vibrant acidity, firm but well-integrated tannins, and layers of red fruit, earth, and spice that build to a long, savoury finish.
