On the palate, the sweet spice of cinnamon and nutmeg from oak combine seamlessly with fresh sour cherry and boysenberry fruit flavours. The palate shows fine tannins and fresh acidity and is a cooler vintage compared to its counterpart the 2017 Syrah. Pairs perfectly with smokey brisket or baby back ribs. A wine that is very drinkable now, but also has structure to mature and develop further complexity over the next 6-8 years.
