From San Martín de Valdeiglesias in the Sierra de Gredos, west of Madrid, this estate-grown Garnacha comes from high-elevation vineyards with granite, schist and sandy soils. Bright cherry, raspberry and pomegranate are layered with dried rose, wild herbs and a gentle mineral edge. Light on its feet but quietly complex, it finishes with fresh acidity and fine, savoury tannins—beautiful slightly chilled with grilled chicken, pork, mushrooms or tapas.
