Barolo and Barbaresco sit less than 20km apart, but the differences run deep. Barolo brings the power: dense tannin, longer ageing requirements, and that famous tar-and-roses core built to last decades. Barbaresco comes from warmer, sandier sites near the Tanaro river, giving wines that arrive earlier with more perfume and a lighter touch on the palate. Luigi will walk you through what to look for in the glass, why the Langhe hills produce such distinct results from a single grape, and how to pick the right bottle for the right occasion. No experience needed, just curiosity and an open mind.
