This practicing organic and certified biodynamic winery was established in 1999. Elian Da Ros grew up on a farm and knew he wanted to be a winemaker by the time he was 14. His father grew grains, vines, tobacco, and tomatoes, the last of which is very popular for this region. Elian was determined to prove that he could produce wines to rival their neighbors in Bordeaux. After working for five years in Alsace learning to make wine, he returned to his hometown and established his own winery. Le vin est une fete translates to "wine is a party," and this medium-bodied wine is certainly fit for a party. Made from a blend of 40% Abouriou, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Merlot, this red is round, balanced, and has tasting notes of dark fruit paired with earth and leather. Drink this wine with hearty mushroom or beef stew.
