The vines for this Montmains are located in the lieu-dit "Butteaux" in the prized multilayer Kimmeridgian soil of blue clay and oyster shells.  Indigenous yeast kicks off the winemaking in stainless steel  before spending time in well-aged 3-4year barrels.  Flinty, steely, minerally white peach, crisp pear and apple notes.  Lightly floral, peach, nectarine and citrus give this a lingering saline finish that is persistent but not intense..
