48% grenache, 45% shiraz, 7% sagrantino. No one will go breaking the heart of cherry-plum flavour, the flash of herbs, the whispers of smoky oak here; tannin simply won't allow it. There are big ropes of the stuff wrapped firm around the hull of fruit. It's certainly not a wine for everyone, but there's an argument to say this is quite monumental.
